Bone Index Completes Latest Financing Round

The company also began a strategic partnership with Lynx Financial.

Bone Index has completed its latest financing round and began a strategic partnership with Lynx Financial. The partnership aims to boost Bone Index’s distribution and service capabilities in North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

The newly gained funds will enhance Bone Index’s infrastructure and operations, the company said. This is to meet growing demand for its bone health diagnostics solutions in the two markets.

The financing round was led by Lynx Financia and had participation from other European financial investors and existing shareholders.

Bone Index’s technology provides quick, accurate bone health measurements in early screening and hospital settings. The company’s product has early commercialization in Europe and the U.S. The partnership with Lynx Financial, the company said, is a major strategic decision to expand its product line and market outreach.

Bone Index’s flagship Bindex system is a point-of-care device that offers accurate, rapid osteoporosis diagnostics. It measures the tibia’s cortical bone thickness for quick, reliable estimation of bone mineral density at the hip.

The company said the portable, pocket-sized Bindex has a 90% accuracy rate, which makes it comparable to traditional DXA scans. The technology also has applications in many orthopedic treatment settings.

“This investment and partnership with Lynx Financial are pivotal steps in our growth journey,” said Bone Index CEO Janne Karjalainen. “The funds will significantly enhance our distribution and service capabilities in North America and Asia Pacific, allowing us to bring our state-of-the-art bone health diagnostics to a larger audience. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration brings and are committed to delivering impactful health solutions globally.”
